In 2002, DVD purchase transactions among Hispanics reached between 55-60 million units, an increase of 55% from 34 million units in 2001. Based on purchase intentions, it is estimated that 60% to 70% of the Hispanic population will own a DVD player by December 2003.

Series Synopsis:

AMERICAN FAMILY reveals the enduring strength of family in America today as it chronicles the lives of the Gonzalezs, residents of East Los Angeles. Jess Gonzalez (Edward James Olmos), the conservative patriarch, and his daughter Nina (Constance Marie), a feminist attorney, are constantly at odds with each other. Nina has moved back home following a family tragedy. She must make the difficult choice between her dreams of a career in Washington D.C. or staying home to help raise her nephew. Flamboyant Aunt Dora (Raquel Welch) lives next door and adds some spice to

everyone’s life.

GREG KINNEAR AND WILLEM DAFOE STAR IN SONY PICTURES CLASSICS' CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED FILM AUTO FOCUS-- DEBUTING ON SPECIAL EDITION DVD ON MARCH 18

Academy Award-nominee Greg Kinnear (As Good As It Gets, Someone Like You) gives the performance of his career in Sony Pictures Classics' AUTO FOCUS, the film biography of television icon Bob Crane who played Colonel Hogan in the long-running television series "Hogan's Heroes." The film, which also stars double Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man, Shadow of the Vampire, Platoon) and directed by Paul Schrader (Affliction, American Gigolo), will be released on Special Edition DVD and video by Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment on March 18.

Bob Crane (Kinnear) became an American icon as the star of the hit TV comedy series "Hogan's Heroes" in the 1960's. With an abundance of fame, wealth and success, Crane dove headfirst into the dark, destructive side of celebrity.  From being a church-going family man to a hardcore hedonist, Crane became the poster child for what the intoxicating, powerful and destructive grip fame and money can have over the ungrounded.

During a chance meeting on the lot while filming "Hogan's Heroes," Crane hooks up with John Carpenter (Dafoe), a video technician who introduces the family man to the world of kinky sex which Crane systematically begins to document on video. Soon, he and Carpenter embark on a voyage of sexploits with beautiful young women and they become addicted to the narcotic pleasures made so easily available by fame and pleasure. But as Crane spirals out of control into this sordid world of sexual fetish and obsession, his family life is destroyed, his fame dissipates and the end result is Crane's brutal bludgeoning  - one of Hollywood's most scandalous and still unsolved murder mysteries.

Sony Pictures Classics' AUTO FOCUS also stars Rita Wilson (Sleepless In Seattle), Maria Bello (TV's "ER"), Ron Leibman (Personal Velocity) and Kurt Fuller (The New Guy).
